Obit-Raymond Heaglin, June 15, 2003Raymond Hedglin June 15, 2003 06/18/2003 Printer-friendly Raymond W.Hedglin, 91, formerly of East Scranton, a resident of the Gino Merli Veterans Center, died Sunday night in the hospice unit of Mercy Hospital. His wife was the former Alice Rozelle, who died July 21, 2000. The couple had been married for 64 years. Born October 30, 1911, in Scranton, son of the late William and Mary Ellen McLaughlin Hedglin, he was educated in Scranton public schools and attended the Lackawanna Business School. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Reisman's Office Supply in Scranton. Surviving are his caregiver, Gale Stein, Peckville; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by five sisters, Ann Kappell, Alice Del Rosso, Delores Alessio, Dorothy Parry and Grace Cronk; and two brothers, Arthur and Joseph. The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. A
